Repairs

Each encoder manufactured by British Encoder is backed by our best-in-the-industry three year warranty. If you experience a problem, call our trained professionals. We can often troubleshoot a problem over the phone and determine if a repair is needed. If it is necessary to return the encoder for repair, our technicians will perform a complete evaluation and recommend a course of action. In an emergency situation our technicians will soon have your evaluation and repair completed, and ready for return shipment. 

Warranty Terms & Conditions will apply wherever appropriate. 

In the event of Expired or Invalid Warranty conditions, an inspection charge will be levied, per encoder, and a cost of repair & return shipping will be advised to you for your consideration.  Should you decide to continue with the quoted repair, the initial inspection charge will be waived in favour of the quoted ‘repair and return’ cost. 
 



If you have an urgent repair situation for ANY ENCODER NOT MANUFACTURED by British Encoder**, we would be pleased to inspect the unit and attempt an immediate repair. In the event of the encoder being beyond repair, it may be possible to offer an equivalent. 

BEI, Dynapar, Hohner, Fanuc, Tamagawa, Sumtak, Heidenhain, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Hengstler, PLUS many others.
An inspection charge will be levied, per encoder, and a cost of repair & return shipping will be advised to you for your consideration

To Initiate a Repair

Please complete both Steps 1 and  2 to ensure that we have all the necessary information to expedite your repair. 

Fill out the Contact Repair Form below. This form alerts our technicians that your repair is coming, so they can ensure we have the necessary resources available when your unit arrives for repair. 

One of our Repair Technicians will respond promptly after receiving the form.

 

 

Complete this  RMA Repair Return Form* and ship it with your unit to the following address:

You MUST Include a valid purchase order number, return billing and shipping instructions, together with a contact name and telephone number in the box with the returned units. Without this information, no action will be taken and we will wait for your further instructions. 

Also include a brief description of your application and information regarding the problem with the encoder.
*NOTE: You must include this form with your unit to ensure that we have the necessary information to repair your encoder
